Everett Charles Technologies Introduces Automated Zeroflex" For Test Fixtures
Pomona, California November 6, 2001 - ECT has added an Automated ZeroFlexing capability to their test fixture manufacturing operation. This option is exclusive to Everett Charles Technologies' customized load board fixtures with ZeroFlex" top plates.
Automated ZeroFlex is a computer-aided manufacturing advancement, which allows the creation of drill/route files directly from the customer's electrical CAD data files. The process eliminates the need for a customer supplied UUT, thereby shortening lead times. Previously the drill/route files were created manually after digitizing the bottom of the board. The key advantage of Automated ZeroFlexing is reduced fixture build time and increased accuracy. Customer defined component locations are used, eliminating digitizing tolerances and human error, enabling component clearances to be optimized without a customer supplied UUT.
