Bantam-Pak®
Operation

Bantam-Pak® sockets, probes and performance boards are built for unwavering contact. The DUT interposer or floating floor plate guides the probe tip into the DUT ball insuring alignment between the probe tip and the DUT ball. This keeps the strike mark on the DUT ball consistently placed to avoid marking in the "No Touch Zone." Since semiconductor substrates vary so largely in their perimeter tolerances, the numerically placed balls offer a more consistent alignment vehicle for aligning the DUT in the socket. The result is more repeatable contact.

The Bantam-Pak® is available in a standard family footprint capable of testing devices up to 37.5mm square. The family socket bases include guide pins for nest and guide pin type handlers and/or tooling holes for docking plate type device handlers.
