Senior Benefits Administrator

 

In this position, you will develop a reputation for outstanding customer service while administering and communicating company policy/plans to our employees nationwide.  The core areas of this job revolves around group insurance, 401(k), HRIS, unemployment insurance, terminations, workers’ compensation, new hire orientations, leave of absences. 

Additional Responsibilities include:

 

• Efficiently auditing and paying all insurance premium statements.  Process requires allocating costs to various company-wide GL accounts, generating accurate check requests; updating monthly premium costs spreadsheets and requesting/obtaining approval.

 

• Creating and produce various reports from the HRIS system on a weekly, monthly or ad hoc basis for statistical and auditing purposes (includes areas such as benefits, performance management, headcount and 401(k)).

 

• Coordinating and handling all administrative aspects of annual Open Enrollment including establishing timelines, updating enrollment forms, completing and auditing HRIS and benefits software data entry to successful to completion.

 

• Processing all benefit-related paperwork, perform necessary HRIS data entry in a timely manner, and field and respond to employee inquiries and requests. .

 

• Reporting all Workers’ Compensation injuries to WC carrier and monitoring claims status.

 

• Leading periodic Workers’ Compensation Claims Review meetings, which includes producing up-to-date statistical reports, providing concise status updates on open claims and explanation of proactive efforts.

 

• Ensuring accuracy of 401(k) UFL transmission through weekly auditing against established protocol.

 

• Preparing and mailing employment termination packages according to state-by-state guidelines.

 

• Distributing all required leave of absence paperwork according to state or Fed guidelines within 24 hours of knowledge of incident/leave and track in HRIS system.

 

This opportunity requires a bachelor’s degree, along with three to five years’ corporate experience.  A background in multi-site, multi-state HR admin is preferred, as are strong customer service skills.  You must possess excellent communication skills and a proficiency in Ceridian’s Source 550 HRIS and Microsoft Excel in order to use both together to produce reports and perform analysis.
