Linear Motion Mechanical SuperKit fixtures are designed for medium-volumn and unpowered opens testing applications. They are ideal for testing PCBs with open vias or low probe count. The fixture can be wired for top, bottom or dual-access applications.

The hinged top unit of the fixture features a rack and pinion gear mechanism which shifts ramp rails to position the upper probe plate parallel to the UUT. In operation, the top is lowered to the parallel position and registers on alignment pins. When the handle is lowered, the ramp rails move forward. The linear motion is converted into vertical motion to engage the UUT in virtually perfect registration and eliminate "raking" action that might damage UUT components.

Kits include frame, top probe plate, bottom probe plate, stripper plate, ramp rails/gear mechanism, top cover, gas hinge, gasket package, grounding strap connector and hardware package.
