As the senior member of our design team, the Designer 1 role requires a highly experienced CAD professional with excellent design skills, and is an ideal opportunity for an individual with significant CAD design experience and the ability to deliver on-time, error-free complex electronic PCB designs. You will work closely with customers and engineering to ensure accurate PCB layouts. This will include reviewing design criteria, schematics and mechanical verification prior to work start and utilizing customer input to develop project-specific designs. You will provide direction, guidance and training to less experienced designers. You will provide support for scheduling task, establish project time-lines, and oversee progress of projects. Additionally, you will be responsible for job documentation, system updates and archives, as well the set up, Q/A and final layout for new board designs.
This opportunity demands an experienced and high level CAD professional with at least 5 years’ successful background in CAD design or similar field. You will need to be proficient using Cadence Allegro, Concept, Specctra, CAM350, AutoCad, Microsoft Office and DFM MakeDo software tools. The ability to read, understand and interpret complex electronic schematics and diagrams is essential and good verbal/written communications skills, as well as strong problem-solving capabilities are necessary. Leadership skills including time management and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to others will be key in your success. Strong presentation skills, the ability engage with individuals at all levels of the organization, organization and multi-tasking abilities will complete your qualifications.
