Job Description
As the Production Supervisor, you will supervise one or more manufacturing departments or sections involving assembly, wire wrap, drilling or machining.
You will direct all scheduling and workflow to ensure work performed is in compliance with customer and company specifications and adheres to the manufacturing schedule. Your responsibilities will involve determining the appropriate use of the facilities and the workforce, and making recommendations for changes as required. You will keep a constant eye on product quality, operating efficiency and cost containment.
Specific responsibilities will involve maintaining equipment; tools and supplies; evaluating new machinery and tooling; fostering an environment with high productivity and employee morale; ensuring the health and safety of all workers; and maintaining a clean and organized workplace. You will have responsibility for all aspects of staff management, including hiring, training, and evaluation. And you will complete all necessary reporting and documentation.
The candidates we seek will have a minimum of 3-5 years related manufacturing production experience, ideally in a lead capacity, combined with a minimum of an Associate’s degree. Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills are essential, as are excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet. We expect you to be able to read and understand instruction/operations manuals; be familiar with standard weights/measures; and have good math skills.
