Job Summary:
ECT is looking for an Quality Manager who will be responsible for assuring consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good automated manufacturing practice (GAMP) systems, validating processes, providing documentation, and managing staff. You will also be responsible for identifying high potential quality improvement opportunities as well as deploy the appropriate Six Sigma quality methodology in Manufacturing. You will liaise with suppliers and customers to improve overall quality of the products. Study process capability and recommend changes to the Engineering Design team to match tolerances to process capability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing employees by hiring, training, assigning duties, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and
disciplining; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; enforcing
policies and procedures.
Train internal Auditors to perform internal ISO audits effectively and review Quality Manual and make necessary changes
to strengthen the quality system.
Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and
reviews; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change.
Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production;
documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance
procedures.
Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits;
investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and
engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
Desired Skills and Experience
Knowledge of the Quality documentation process, Document Control practices, managing documents, records, forms,
and work instructions.
Strong math skills and excel skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities are essential
Act as a Lead Auditor that will perform quality audits as well as supply chain audits, process audits, and ISO audits.
Understand the compliance requirements, as well as take charge in the collecting of objective evidence, and writing up
audit reports ensure the quality management system is operating effectively.
Education and Qualifications
Must be either a U.S. Citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident to comply with ITAR regulations
BS degree in Quality Engineering or equivalent.
5 years experience in Quality Assurance experience including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
Knowledge of the ISO certification and qualification process is necessary.
Must be self-motivated and the ability to work both independently, and within a team environment with strong follow up, organization and prioritization skills and excellent attention to detail
Must be able to understand, comply, and improve established company policies and procedures.
Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills including the ability to present information, create reports, and interpret documents.
